"Work in Progress"  explores the displacement of culture and traditions as a result of immigration. Though portraiture, Gloria Caballero questions the importance of community as a way to preserve, transmit and celebrate cultural identity. She uses documentary photography to investigate clothing, rituals, traditions and personal objects and their role in the everyday life as an expression of identity. This series portrays a more personal side of the Caribbean Festival in Toronto, it follows three girls as they get ready for Caribana's main event.
